The Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) and New England International Junior Shooting Sports (NEIJSS) announced today that they will be holding a Clay Shooting Clinic at Minute Man Sportsman's Club in Burlington, MA on October 29-30th.
Join this fun event and meet USA Shooting National Team members Corey Cogdell, Olympic Bronze Medalist from the 2008 Beijing games and Jon Michael McGrath, 2011 ISSF World Cup Gold Medalist. The Mass. SCTP's mission is to create and promote personal growth opportunities for school-age youth through clay-target sports. SCTP offers high-quality team-based sports programs, lead by trained adult coaches, that are safe, challenging and fun. MassSCTP provides students in grades 12 and under with the opportunity to learn and showcase competitive shooting skills while earning state and national recognition. The program is designed to instill safe firearms handling, team commitment, academic accomplishment, responsibility, leadership, community service and teamwork in all its participants. Graduates of the program can go on to NCAA or even Olympic shooting programs. SCTP alumni Vincent Hancock and Corey Cogdell won gold in men's skeet and bronze in women's trap, respectively, at the 2008 Olympics.
